History of Impulse Amplifier

Overview
Impulse Amplifier is a weapon trait that "massively increases projectile velocity" and "substantially increases reload speed". It is a Common-rarity trait introduced in Season 16 (per the Destiny 2 Wiki), and an Enhanced version also exists.
Effects
- Per light.gg figures relayed by search coverage: +20 Reload Speed and 15% shorter reload animation (20% on Rocket Launchers); the Enhanced version gives +25 Reload Speed.
- Projectile velocity bonus depends on the weapon's archetype: about 10% on Rocket Launchers, 15% on Support-frame Auto Rifles and 25% on Micro-Missile frame weapons.
- Community discussion says the velocity bonus is most noticeable on heavy Grenade Launchers (it flattens the arc), and that it is a strong third-column choice on Bows, Glaives and rocket sidearms. These are community opinions, not official statements.
Where it matters
Used mainly on Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, rocket Sidearms and similar projectile weapons, where faster projectiles make shots easier to land. Weapons that can roll it include Hullabaloo.
Sources note
The exact numbers come from community-maintained databases and a Bungie forum thread and may have changed in later patches; the Destiny 2 Wiki page gives no numbers.
