Overview
Introduction Letter is a 1967 lore document from the Department of External Observation about Project BLUE DOOR. It is written by Dr. Annalise Meyers, lead researcher on the project, and addressed to Dr. Falkner.
Content
The letter describes how the project began as a mandate to build an interdimensional tunneling device for faster-than-light communication. Early tests were inconclusive and the project was shelved. Director Moffat reactivated it, believing something had taken Dr. Davis and Agent Yero into another dimension.
The team opened a 15-centimeter tear into another dimension. The tear flooded the testing room with STRANGE MATTER and transmuted the equipment into iron filings, with no casualties. The team requested shielding and proposed working with Dr. Falkner, who could help with the shortage of STRANGE MATTER.
