History of Iron Banner Control

Iron Banner Control is the limited-time 6v6 Iron Banner playlist that Bungie labels “Iron Banner Control.” Bungie’s 2025 playlist plan described it as using Outlier Protection matchmaking and replacing the regular Control node during Iron Banner; its 2026 playlist schedule lists it for one week every four weeks. The mode captures zones and awards points for kills, as shown in the activity description.

This is separate from Iron Banner Quickplay, which rotates modes such as Tribute, Fortress and Eruption. See Iron Banner: Control for the existing page’s historical Iron Banner Control and Hunt rules; the records are kept distinct because the sources reviewed do not establish them as aliases.
