Kra'lok and Ha'lok

Kra'lok and Ha'lok are the Sword and Shield, a two-part boss encounter in a Haunted Alcove in the Pleasure Gardens area of the Derelict Leviathan. It was added in Season of the Haunted.

Location

The alcove is in a secret passage among the rocks near the Calus statue. Climb the tree at the entrance to the rocks and go through the hole in the wall. Guides describe other routes into the Pleasure Gardens, including from the Castellum.

Walkthrough

1. Watch for the message "A sword and shield clash together," which means the bosses can spawn.
2. Defeat the Nightmare Raider guarding the alcove, along with the Lurkers and minor Raiders inside. The bosses arrive once enough of them are dead.
3. Lesser enemies drop Unstable Essence when killed, which makes attacks against the Sword and Shield more effective.
4. Kra'lok spawns in the shallow pool in the middle of the room. It is a Chieftain and tankier than Ha'lok, and it can summon Solar Ether Totems.
5. Defeat both before they despawn. If they despawn, you must wait for them to respawn.

Rewards

Defeating both bosses before they despawn opens a chest with loot and awards the Nightmare Breached Triumph.
