History of LETTER 1

Overview

LETTER 1 is the first page of the lore book Your Friend, Micah Abram, added with Beyond Light in November 2020. It is the opening letter from Micah Abram, a ten-year-old human from Mars, written to the Traveler as "Dear Traveler." Its objective is Progress.

How to complete

The book's pages unlock by collecting the penguin souvenirs scattered across Europa and returning them to the spare room of the communications center in Charon's Crossing. At launch only one penguin could be found, and another became discoverable each following week. Track your collection on the book's triumph, which counts stories gathered out of nine.

Letter

Micah is traveling to Eventide, a new BrayTech colony on Europa, to join her father, a lead quantum engineer who works with Clovis Bray on top-secret projects and helped design some of Rasputin's hardware. Her other parent is a psychologist. She asks the Traveler whether it is an AI like Rasputin, and she ends by encrypting the letter and promising to write again.
