History of Lingering Dread

Overview

Lingering Dread is a legendary Stasis Grenade Launcher from the Duality dungeon. It is a Lightweight Frame, a one-shot handheld launcher with remote detonation, with a very large blast radius (100) but low projectile velocity (73). The curated roll runs Volatile Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Ambitious Assassin and Chill Clip, with the Bitterspite origin trait. The flavor text reads "We are all burdened by the chains of our past."

The commonly cited god roll is Auto-Loading Holster with Chill Clip; The Loadout also lists Quick Launch and Disorienting Grenades as good picks in PvE and PvP. Videos at launch compared it to the older Mountaintop.

Acquisition

It drops from the first encounter of Duality, Nightmare of Gahlran, Sorrow Bearer, alongside The Epicurean fusion rifle. It arrived with Season of the Haunted. Neither source marks it as craftable.
