History of Lucent Tribute

Overview

Lucent Tribute is the shield-breaking mechanic of the Alak'nar fight in Altars of Summoning, from Season of the Witch. Alak'nar is a Hive Knight of the Lucent Brood, imprisoned in the altars by Savathûn.

Mechanic

Alak'nar gains an Immunity Shield each time its health drops by a third, and the Lucent Totems raise it. Tribute Bearer Wizards appear around the arena, and defeating them harvests Burdens of Tribute. Deposit the Tribute at the Lucent Totems to lower the shield. Alak'nar keeps summoning reinforcements, whose numbers rise with the chosen difficulty. Once the shield is down, Alak'nar can be defeated.
