History of Madrugadan Mackerel

Overview

Madrugadan Mackerel is a fishing Triumph from Season of the Deep in Destiny 2. The objective is to catch one Madrugadan Mackerel. The fish is in the Rare tier of Fishing Pond catches.

How to complete

1. Get a Fishing Tackle from Suraya Hawthorne, who appears after you finish the first weekly mission, "Into the Depths."
2. Collect Bait. Bait comes from Salvages, Deep Dives, playlist activities, public events, patrols and destination materials. Harder activities tend to give more. Alkane Dust from Deep Dives also yields Bait. Each cast uses one Bait.
3. Go to a pond. Ponds are in the Outskirts of the European Dead Zone, in The Cistern on Nessus, and in the Miasma in the Court of Savathûn.
4. Cast and reel. Press interact to cast, then press it again when the prompt appears. Press interact shortly after a bite for a Perfect Catch, which gives rarer, larger fish.
5. Collect your catch. Fish land on the ground, so walk over them to collect.

Tips:

• The Focused Fishing meter fills as you catch Legendary or rarer fish, and a fuller meter raises the chance of rare catches. Fishing with friends helps.
• Leave fish on the ground instead of collecting them. Clear the Public Event, then collect them when the next pond spawns. They still count toward the second pond's meter.
• The pond disappears during other Public Events and returns a few seconds after they end.
