History of Marked by the Void

Overview
Marked by the Void is the name of a portal-team debuff in the original Destiny version of Vault of Glass: it was applied after the portal Gatekeeper was defeated and gradually obscured vision. That D1 Gatekeeper mechanic is not the D2 Gatekeeper encounter. In D2 Gatekeeper, defeat the central Gatekeeper and take the Relic from the middle of the main room; the encounter’s key debuff is Teleport Destabilized, which prevents a Guardian carrying the Relic through a portal again for 45 seconds. D2 Atheon’s portal team is blinded while inside; the Relic holder must use the cleansing bubble there, then cleanse marked teammates again after they exit before damage.
