History of Memento

Overview

A Memento is a rare drop that is socketed into a crafted weapon to add a kill tracker, a weapon title and a unique shader. Mementos drop at the end of endgame activities such as Gambit, Nightfall and Trials of Osiris, and from events such as Festival of the Lost.

Applying

Mementos can only go into crafted weapons, through the Memento socket on the crafting screen (Weapon Crafting). They cannot be inserted into Exotic weapons. Once applied, a Memento cannot be removed, so the weapon should be chosen carefully.

Unlocks

Leveling the weapon unlocks the Memento's rewards in stages:

• Level 1: activity kill tracker
• Level 20: weapon title
• Level 30: shader
