History of Message from Aunor IV

Overview

Message from Aunor IV is a triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the lore book The Warlock Aunor, added in Season of the Drifter. The message is from the Praxic Warlock Aunor Mahal.

Message

Aunor warns that the Drifter is manipulating Guardians. Gambit Prime is described as an experiment that uses Guardians from the Tower as test subjects, not a get-rich-quick scheme. The Vanguard believed the Drifter was building a throne world, but Aunor found no evidence that he has killed anyone. Reports from loyal Guardians link his resources to a power called the Nine, and he appears to be networking with forces outside both Light and Dark, beyond the Awoken Queen. Aunor asks the recipient, a Gambit Prime candidate, to keep watch and report honestly as the Vanguard's eyes and ears.

How to unlock

1. Collect the Aunor messages that arrive in the Postmaster.
2. Archive each message with X. This opens the book under Stolen Intelligence in the lore section.
3. Entries unlock as Aunor sends new messages and as the investigation into the Drifter progresses.

Lore

Message IV sits between messages III and V in the book. Message V is a transcript of a Vanguard casualty report, so read it in order to follow the investigation.
