Overview

Message from Aunor VIII is a triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the lore book The Warlock Aunor, added in Season of the Drifter. The message is from the Praxic Warlock Aunor Mahal, described as a cormorant-level encrypted message.

Message

Aunor is angry at the Drifter, but the Vanguard's decree prevents action against him for now. Aunor thanks the recipient for their Titan trip, which let Aunor round up several would-be Dredgens on the Tangled Shore. There were no casualties, and six perpetrators and their Ghosts were restrained. The Drifter had been paying them to move Motes to the Shore.

As long as the Motes stay in Gambit, Aunor cannot act. Aunor will claim any Motes carried outside that context and not delivered to the recipient, referred to as "our rat in green". The six prisoners will face Praxic justice, possibly exile.

Aunor believes the Vanguard is wrong that the Drifter has changed. Aunor asks the recipient to keep attending the Drifter's games as Aunor's eyes, and says the Drifter will allow it.

Aunor is looking into the Nine again. The Haul was the main reason, but the voice the recipient heard was the Nine's Emissary. Aunor believes she is involved in the situation.

How to unlock

1. Collect the Aunor messages that arrive in the Postmaster.
2. Archive each message with X. This opens the book under Stolen Intelligence in the lore section.
3. Discarding this message also unlocks an associated lore triumph.
