History of Necrochasm

Necrochasm is a Kinetic Exotic Auto Rifle, the reward of the Crota's End raid.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, "Cursebringer", makes precision final blows trigger a Cursed Thrall explosion, and final blows with those explosions refill the magazine. Archetype: Auto Rifle.

Acquisition

Complete the quest Bottomless Pit, picked up from the raid vendor after defeating Crota:

1. Defeat 100 Hive with Husk of the Pit (final blows in the raid grant bonus progress).
2. Collect 20 Essence of the Oversoul from Crota's End encounters and triumphs (can be farmed; Master completions give extra).
3. Claim Necrochasm.

Catalyst

Earned in Crota's End with two timed plates (90 seconds each; one fireteam member must have Necrochasm equipped). After the bridge, activate the plate and kill the Swordbearers that spawn. After Ir Yut, activate the second plate and kill three Swordbearers plus Wizards and Gatekeepers. It adds the "Outlaw" perk (faster reload after a precision kill).
