History of Nepotistic

Overview

Nepotistic is a Triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the lore book Shattered Suns, added in The Witch Queen. The book follows Rhulk, a Lubraean, from his origins to his recruitment into the service of the Witness.

The "Nepotistic" entry is narrated by Rhulk about a year after his father, Rhelik, was taken by the Regime. Rhulk's clan has ousted him as a liability, so he survives alone. Each Umbral Sun he patrols the edge of the Abyss, using his Sapphiric Converter for light and his Glaive, which he renamed after his father, to hunt Stalkers and search for signs of him. When his father appears in Regime insignia, Rhulk sees him as a coward and an opportunist. The entry closes with his vow to kill his father himself.

How to complete

The triumph has a Progress objective. The entry is part of the Shattered Suns book, whose ten entries unlock in two stages: the first five by listening to audio logs in the mission Preservation, and the remaining five by solving a puzzle wall in the Sunken Pyramid. Unlocking all ten awards the Imperious Sun Shell.
