History of Network Security Nodes

Network Security Nodes are destroyable objectives in Enigma Protocol, the three-player activity in Episode: Echoes that takes place in the Vex Network on Nessus.

Effect

Guides describe destroying the nodes as adding 30 seconds to the mission timer. Another guide describes timer extensions as coming from destroying Vex Cube crystals and Timekeeper Harpies, each adding 30 seconds, and says the timer starts at 60 seconds.

Triumph

A Triumph called System Cracked asks players to destroy all available nodes in a single run.

Availability

The Destinypedia entry says Enigma Protocol was placed into the Destiny Content Vault with the release of Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, so the activity is no longer available.
