History of Notes on Iteration

Overview

Notes on Iteration is a Triumph in Destiny 2, added with The Edge of Fate. It is a lore-card triumph tied to the lore entry of the same name in the book Tenets of AION.

Series

Tenets of AION is a lore book of nine entries, a transcription of an official document on the culture of the Aionians on Kepler. Notes on Iteration is the eighth entry, between Tenets of Iteration and A Conclusion. The full list is in the Notes On Observation article.

Lore

Dean Rebecca addresses a new class of students on statistical significance. Two students argue over whether one failure in three trials means anything, and she replies that three trials cannot establish significance. She uses the discovery of penicillin, which came from a single contaminated culture, to argue that one data point can still signal that something is there. The entry closes by urging listeners to answer the call of the Anomaly.

Entries of Tenets of AION unlock as you progress through the Edge of Fate campaign. The triumph's single objective is Progress (0/8).
