History of Oblation

Overview

Oblation is a secret three-part Exotic Mission on The Moon, added with the Monument of Triumph update (9 June 2026). It is a continuous run of Oblation: Bloodline, Oblation: Soulfed and Oblation: Immolation (about 30-40 minutes in one go), playable solo or with a fireteam of up to three. You delve into the Hive's soulfire forge to stop Dredgen Bael's plan for an Arsenal of Sorrow; the chain leads to the Cull's Shadow Exotic.

Unlocking

Unlocked through a secret questline on The Moon that starts in the Scarlet Keep strike: you need a Weapon of Sorrow (Thorn, Osteo Striga, Touch of Malice or Necrochasm) equipped, then visit the Temple of Crota, find the marked bodies of four Cabal (Suspicious Syndicate Activity), activate Hive crystals at K1 Revelation, the Chamber of Night, the Shrine of Oryx and the Temple of Crota, and open the final rune door under a bridge in Sorrow's Harbor. Thorn can be bought from the Monument to Lost Lights for an Exotic Cipher and 125,000 Glimmer.

Encounters

• Oblation: Bloodline: sabotage a Cabal drill, platform up through caves, clear a soulfire barrier, and defeat Valus Tau'rig.
• Oblation: Soulfed: soulfire worm puzzles, a sarcophagus platforming section and three giant Hive bosses.
• Oblation: Immolation: bellows encounter, platforming gauntlet and the weaponsmith Ir Gohl.

Rewards

Cull's Shadow, the Sorrow's Coronet ghost shell, the Denier of Futurity sparrow, catalysts (Soulfire Rancor, Soulfire Skewer), Agony of Want from the timed version, and the Oceanus Procellarum shader for collecting the nine hidden Profane Worms.
