History of Opulent Umbral Energy

Overview

Opulent Umbral Energy is a Legendary material from Season of the Haunted (Season 17). It is the seasonal variant of Umbral Energy and is spent at the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M. to focus Umbral Engrams into Opulent weapons, Haunted weapons and Haunted armor. It has a maximum stack of 200.

Acquisition

• Nightmare Containment: deposit Vestiges of Dread on the Nightmare Harvester after the Tier III final boss. Reported yields are five or seven per deposit (2023).
• Sever missions: a Bound Presence opens the chest at the end of the mission, and chests from Bound Presence missions can contain it.
• Season Pass: some reward levels grant it (21 in total, 2023).
• Opulent Chests and Haunted Alcove chests can drop it.
• Upgrades at the Crown of Sorrow can raise the chance of extra Opulent Umbral Energy, including when binding at the end of Nightmare Containment.
