History of Orin

Overview

Orin, formerly the Emissary of the Nine, resigned from that role to aid the Guardian in The Edge of Fate. She was born Nasya Sarwar, a human who won a lottery to serve as a Scopare aboard the Exodus ship Yang Liwei. She was transformed into an Awoken during the Collapse and took the name Nasan Ar, serving as a translator and mediator for the Diasyrm. Risen killed her on Earth shortly after she arrived as an emissary for Queen Mara Sov. A Ghost named Gol revived her, and she took the name Orin.

As a Guardian she served with the Pilgrim Guard and fought Warlords and the Fallen. She shares history with the Drifter, who was her friend in the Pilgrim Guard. The Nine later transformed her into their Emissary, a role in which she oversaw the Trials of the Nine and delivered their messages.
