History of Osteo Striga

Osteo Striga is a Kinetic Exotic Submachine Gun with primary ammo, introduced with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, "Screaming Swarm", fires a stream of toxic projectiles that track the targeted enemy and inflict poison. It rolls at roughly 600 RPM with very high recoil control. It is a craftable exotic, so you can pick barrel, magazine and stock perks.

Acquisition

• The listed source is the Vox Obscura Exotic quest.
• Accounts of the route differ. One describes owning Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, finishing the campaign to get the pattern, then shaping the weapon at the Relic in the Enclave on Savathûn's Throne World. This route cannot be pulled from Collections.
• Historically it was a Deluxe Edition bonus in Season of the Risen before reaching all Witch Queen owners.

Catalyst

Reach weapon level 10, then reshape it at the Enclave Relic. The reshape costs 3 Ascendant Alloy plus Neutral Element (2,000 to 2,150; reported values differ). The catalyst adds reload speed and stability, and poison final blows return ammo to the magazine.
