History of Power weapon

Power weapon is the common name for the Heavy-ammo weapon slot in Destiny 2. Rocket Launchers, Linear Fusion Rifles, Swords, Grenade Launchers and Machine Guns use Heavy ammo, which drops as large purple bricks and is scarce. Power weapons are the strongest tool against bosses and are a focus in encounters such as Grand Overture. See also Special ammo. Note that "Power" is also the name of the gear level stat, which is unrelated.
