History of Praxic Blade

Praxic Blade is an Exotic Sword dealing Kinetic damage, introduced with Destiny 2: Renegades.
Overview
Tapping heavy attack throws the blade, which seeks up to three enemies within 50 meters; holding heavy fires it straight for roughly double damage. Three rapid light attacks into a quick heavy attack form the Cormorant combo. It has built-in shield piercing against Barrier Champions. Its flavor text calls it "a Weapon of Hope".
Acquisition
Complete the Fire and Ice Exotic mission in the Renegades campaign (on Europa, per one source). One completion unlocks the item in Collections; the mission is then replayable for catalysts, and Legendary difficulty is needed to progress catalysts.
Catalyst
There are four catalysts:
- Echoing Blade: find seven hidden Taken blights/oddities in the mission's platforming; increases thrown-blade targets.
- Upper Hand: kill the two yellow-bar Taken Knights early, then destroy the blights after flipping the Ascendant plane; boosts damage when above a target.
- Hyperblade: unbalance the four energy fields in the final encounter to spawn four blights; grants Amplified after reflecting shots.
- Energy Conduit: comes from the Equilibrium dungeon via the quest "The Way Between"; health regeneration scaled to hits.
Sources differ on details (one guide was still incomplete on Energy Conduit), and a hotfix (9.5.0.3) removed the original single-run restriction for the three mission catalysts.
