History of Private Match Limited

Overview

Private Match Limited is the rewards-enabled version of Private Match, a custom Crucible lobby. Its in-game description reads "REWARDS ENABLED!". Players start it from the Crucible destination screen (bottom-left icon) or Crucible Ops, and pick mode, map and limits the same way as Private Match. Invites are limited to friends or clan members.

Rewards

When rewards were on, private matches could drop Legendary gear, Enhancement Prisms and Red Border weapons (Dexerto). Bungie disabled all rewards from Crucible private matches in June 2024 after a loot-farm exploit tied to Pathfinder objectives. Short match times and solo starts made the farm efficient (Dexerto). Reported announcement dates differ by a day (22 or 23 June 2024). Bungie did not give a return date. The "REWARDS ENABLED!" description therefore does not match the game's state since 2024.
