History of Protect the Runner

Overview

Protect the Runner is a Lifetime, Competitive Gambit triumph. Win a match in which one player deposits 50 Motes without losing any.

How to complete

Agree on the runner before the match. Let that player collect and bank motes while teammates clear enemy waves, remove Blockers, and defend against Invaders. Bank safely rather than carrying motes into an exposed fight.

Keep the runner alive whenever they are carrying motes. Losing held motes invalidates that player's attempt; the required deposits must come from one player rather than a combined team total. Continue helping with the bank and Primeval fight after the deposits are complete, since the team must also win the match.
