History of Quicksilver Storm

Quicksilver Storm is an Exotic Auto Rifle using primary ammo, originally a Destiny 2: Lightfall pre-order bonus. Its base damage is Kinetic; the catalyst makes it Strand.

Overview

Rocket Tracers: landing multiple hits turns the next shot into a homing micro-rocket. Grenade Chaser: rockets load a grenade, and the reload/alternate action switches it to grenade launcher mode.

Acquisition

• Originally granted to Lightfall (or Annual Pass) pre-purchasers.
• Now available to Lightfall owners from the Monument to Lost Lights (one source: 1 Exotic Cipher, 100,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard) or via Master Rahool/random Exotic drops. Sources disagree on exact vendor and costs.

Catalyst

Quest "Any Data Port in the Storm" begins at a holoprojector near Nimbus in Neomuna once you own the weapon. It has you defeat enemies with auto rifle, grenades and the grenade launcher mode (50 grenade kills in one step), and speak to Banshee-44. The catalyst grants Nano-entanglement (grenade final blows create Tangles and weapon becomes Strand); one source lists 700 kills to unlock.
