Overview
The Red Legion is the elite Cabal military force that served Dominus Ghaul and was the primary enemy of the Red War campaign of Destiny 2. Ghaul rose to lead it under Emperor Calus and then deposed Calus, replacing the imperial court with a regime built on martial merit.
History
The Legion conquered hundreds of worlds, built the moon-sized superweapon the Almighty and developed technology to drain the Traveler's Light, which enabled the attack on the Last City. After Ghaul's death it fragmented under commanders such as Val Ca'uor, who died trying to seize Calus's Leviathan, and Psion factions pursued their own goals. Caiatl later tried to reunite the Cabal.
