History of Red War

Overview

The Red War was the conflict between the Guardians of the Last City and the Cabal Red Legion led by Dominus Ghaul. It is also the campaign that opens Destiny 2.

Events

A surprise assault devastated the City, destroyed the Tower and severed Guardians from the Traveler's Light. Survivors regrouped at The Farm, recovered their powers from a Traveler shard and counterattacked across Mercury, Mars, Titan, Io and Nessus. Guardians defeated Ghaul and the Traveler awoke. The final phase ended when the new Legion commander Val Ca'uor died trying to seize Emperor Calus's Leviathan.
