History of Refinery

Overview

The Refinery is an old mining facility in the Cosmodrome on Earth, in Old Russia. It contains a Hive tunnel system at the rear of the complex and was home to the Heart of Crota in the original Destiny.

Connections

The Refinery connects to the Rocketyard and The Blast in both Destiny and Destiny 2. In the original Destiny it also led to The Grottos, a cave area north of the Forgotten Shore that was not carried into Destiny 2.

Factions

The Hive and the Fallen are the hostile races here. The Destiny version had the Hidden Swarm, House of Devils and Spawn of Crota, and Devil Splicers appeared in Rise of Iron. Destiny 2 lists the House of Dusk.
