History of Renewal Grasps

Overview

Renewal Grasps are Exotic Hunter gauntlets for Stasis builds. Their Depths of Duskfield perk enlarges Duskfield Grenades. Entering the field grants you and allies a stack of Frost Armor, with additional stacks gained while inside; Bungie doubled that gain rate in January 2025. Frost Armor reduces incoming damage, while targets in the enhanced Duskfield deal reduced damage. The former custom ally damage-resistance effect was replaced by Frost Armor with The Final Shape (June 2024).

Acquisition

• Legendary The Witch Queen campaign completion originally offered Renewal Grasps or Blight Ranger from Ikora Rey; this is a historical first-acquisition route.
• Master Rahool offers Novel Focusing for past-expansion Exotic armor without a reputation-track reset since July 15, 2025; check current eligibility and requirements.
