History of Root of Nightmares (triumph)

Overview

Root of Nightmares (triumph) is a triumph with a score of 25. It requires the player to complete any version of the Root of Nightmares raid.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, Guardians must successfully finish the Root of Nightmares raid. This activity was released as part of the Lightfall expansion on March 10, 2023. The raid takes place aboard a Witness terraformed Pyramid ship, where players confront Nezarec, the Final God of Pain.

The raid consists of three main encounters:

• Cataclysm: Players must link seeds using the Field of Light buff while managing waves of Cabal enemies, including Cavum of Nezarec Tormentor and Barrier Colossus.
• Scission: Teams split to create chains of Field of Light and Flux of Darkness across a chasm using launchers, while defeating aura-dependent enemies like Redolence of Splendor and Redolence of Decay.
• Macrocosm: The final encounter involves defeating the boss Zo'aurc, Explicator of Planets by aligning planets and breaking his shield.

Completion of the entire raid satisfies the objective for this triumph.
