History of Rosetta II

Overview

Rosetta II is an upgrade to Rosetta and a reward of The Central Academy Strangelet questline in The Edge of Fate. It is granted during the Fallow mission, after the Devastator Mind boss is defeated. It lets the Guardian understand the Aionian language and interact with more Aionian devices and ciphers.

Acquisition

Rosetta II is received in the Fallow mission:

1. Board the train, use the Matterspark pad and enter the broken vent.
2. Kill a Minotaur to get a frequency cube, shoot it to open a Matterspark tunnel, and destroy the Rosetta Frequency in the barriered room.
3. Retrieve three food caches. Each one is guarded by a Minotaur whose cube must be broken.
4. The final cache requires defeating the Devastator Mind boss. Lower its shield by breaking the frequency cubes and destroying the Rosetta Frequencies on each side of the room.
5. After the boss dies, use the terminal in the far right corner of the room to receive Rosetta II.
6. Return to the food cache at the back of the room and use the terminal there to finish the mission.

Rosetta II is listed both as a quest reward and as a Fallow mission reward, tied to the same quest.
