History of Scorch Cannons

Scorch Cannons are the heavy weapons used in the Ketchcrash mission of Season of Plunder to break the shields on the Spider Tanks.

Mechanic

Once a Spider Tank's legs are shot out and it is downed, it is protected by shield domes around the arena. Normal weapons do nothing to it. A marked Scorch Captain spawns; kill him to drop a Scorch Cannon, then shoot six of the domes to drop the shield and finish the tank. The cannon holds about ten shots; if you run dry another captain spawns, and domes do not repair (per Shacknews and TheGamer).

Notes

TheGamer calls the targets Walkers and Shacknews calls them Spider Tanks; they appear to be the same enemy. See also Fallen.
