History of Sedderik Assur

Overview

The Sedderik Assur triumph requires the player to Progress within the Maelstrom activity. Completing this objective awards no additional rewards or score points beyond the standard triumph completion.

How to complete

To obtain the Sedderik Assur triumph, the player must engage in the Maelstrom strike. This activity is located in Neomuna and is associated with the lore of Sedderik Assur, also known as Maelstrom.

Maelstrom was a Cloud Strider of Neomuna and a former leader who ended the Cobalt Occupation. She founded the Assur Academy to train Neomuni in defending against threats such as the Vex. During her tenure, she mentored a class of prospective Cloud Striders, intending to select the best student for final augmentations. Her chosen protégé became known as the Cloud Strider Geist.

Ten other members of the class, feeling unfairly denied, formed a terrorist group called the Uplift Coven to seize augmentation for themselves. Maelstrom suppressed the insurrection, an event that injured Geist and left her with lifelong regrets. At the end of her service, she provided Geist with the kill codes to the Sidereal via an audio log, noting she lacked the conviction to use them herself.

The triumph is tied to this narrative, as the activity features Maelstrom as the final encounter. The character is voiced by Courtney Taylor and appears in Destiny 2: Lightfall. Players must complete the Maelstrom strike to satisfy the "Progress" objective required for the triumph.
