History of Shock & Awe

Overview

Shock & Awe is a Guardian Games event challenge for earning fifty progress through Arc final blows. Defeating opposing Guardians awards bonus progress. Its reward entries include Event Tokens and Event XP.

How to complete

Equip an Arc weapon or an Arc-damage ability and secure the finishing blow on targets. Use enemy groups to accumulate progress, replenishing ammunition or ability energy between fights. Opponent defeats in Crucible accelerate the counter through the stated bonus.

The qualifying action is the Arc final blow, so merely having an Arc weapon equipped while another damage type finishes the target does not replace it. Guardian Games retired in June 2026, ending the original event challenge route.
