History of Simulant Future

Overview

The Simulant Future is a Vex-built simulation on Mercury in the Infinite Forest, in the Fields of Glass. The Infinite Forest is its only connecting area. It depicts the Vex's supposed ideal far future, where the Vex have dominated everything and neither the Light nor the Darkness exists. The Vex buried Saint-14 in a tomb there, ringed by the melted shells of the Vex he killed.

Story

Saint-14 went to Mercury hunting for Osiris and was drained of Light by the Descendants, who inhabit the Simulant Future. The second and final mission of the Mercury World Quest Legends Lost, Not Even the Darkness, sends the Guardian there to fight Vex Descendants and find Saint-14. Osiris bids him farewell at the tomb, and the Guardian recovers the Prophecy Tablet from his body.
