History of Skyburner Catalyst

Overview

Skyburner Catalyst is a Triumph that challenges players to utilize the Skyburner's Oath exotic hand cannon against specific enemy factions. The triumph requires the completion of two distinct objectives: inserting the catalyst item twice and defeating a total of 500 Cabal enemies using the specified weapon. Completing this triumph contributes to the player's overall Triumph score.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, players must first acquire the Skyburner's Oath exotic hand cannon. The primary requirement involves engaging Cabal enemies, which are a prominent faction within the Destiny 2 universe, and eliminating them using this specific weapon.

The process begins with the insertion of the catalyst. Players must locate the Skyburner's Oath in their inventory and insert the catalyst item. This action must be performed a total of two times to satisfy the first objective. Each insertion updates the progress counter for "Insert the Catalyst."

Simultaneously, players must accumulate kills against Cabal enemies. The weapon must be the source of the defeat for the enemy to count toward the total. Players need to defeat 500 Cabal enemies in total. These kills can be accumulated across various activities and locations where Cabal enemies are present. The progress for "Cabal Enemies Defeated" is tracked separately from the catalyst insertions.

Once both objectives are fully completed—two catalyst insertions and 500 Cabal eliminations—the triumph will be marked as complete.
