History of Solar Flares

Overview

Solar Flares is a Solstice event challenge for earning one hundred progress from Solar grenade final blows. Defeating opposing Guardians provides bonus progress. It rewards Event Tokens and Event XP.

How to complete

Equip a Solar-damage grenade and throw it at weakened enemy groups so its damage secures the final blows. Replenish grenade energy between groups and continue until the weighted counter reaches one hundred.

Solar weapon final blows are separate from the grenade condition. Opponent grenade defeats in Crucible accelerate progress through the stated bonus. The annual Solstice event retired in June 2026, ending the original event challenge route.
