History of Spheromatik Trigger

Spheromatik Trigger is the intrinsic perk on Severance Enclosure. Powered melee final blows create a damaging explosion; finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase its radius and damage.

Bungie’s June 9, 2026 Update 9.7.0 removed the oversized line-of-sight requirement, allowed combatants to be hit by multiple nearby shock waves, and made shock waves disorient enemies. The current item text confirms the trigger and scaling conditions.
