History of Splinters

'''Splinters''' are the power source that Eliksni channel to wield Stasis. They are used through gauntlets, and the House of Salvation was the first to harness them.

Praksis, the House's chief architect and scientist, created the Stasis gauntlets that let his House harness Stasis power through Splinters. Stasis became a recruiting tool for Eramis, who decided who received the new powers. Praksis kept his methods secret, and other council members, including Variks, did not understand how his inventions worked.

Later, Phylaks wielded Stasis by inserting a Splinter taken from a Crux into one of Praksis's gauntlets.
