History of Star-Eater Scales

Star-Eater Scales are Exotic leg armor for Hunters, introduced in Season of the Splicer.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Feast of Light, grants extra Super energy from Orbs of Power. Once your Super is full, picking up another Orb overcharges it: on cast you get a burst of healing, a Super damage boost, and at maximum overcharge an overshield. Weapon damage buffs from overcharging last roughly 14 seconds. Armor slot: Hunter leg armor.

Acquisition

• Drops from solo-completed Legend and Master difficulty Lost Sectors on days when the daily rotation rewards leg armor; Master gives a better chance (Shacknews and Twinfinite).
• Exotic engrams and Xûr have also been reported as sources by some guides, while Shacknews (at publication, Season of the Splicer) said Lost Sectors were the only source. Treat the older claim as possibly outdated.
• Exotic Armor Focusing with Rahool once you have a copy.

Lore

The lore entry follows two Fallen pilots, Ekris and Raksil, on a disabled ship.
