History of Superior Swordplay

Overview

Superior Swordplay is a Triumph that requires the completion of the Crota's End raid alongside specific encounter challenges within a strict time limit. The triumph description states: "Complete the "Crota's End" raid and all encounter challenges within the first 48 hours."

Original completion method

To earn this triumph, players must finish the Crota's End raid while completing the following four challenges:

• Conservation of Energy
• Precarious Balance
• Equal Vessels
• All For One

All objectives must be satisfied within the first 48 hours of the raid's availability.

The qualifying window was the reprised Crota's End raid's launch weekend in September 2023, rather than the first 48 hours after an individual player's first clear. First clear Contest Mode to unlock the launch Challenge Mode, then complete all four encounter challenges there. This launch-only triumph is no longer obtainable through ordinary raid clears.

Rewards

Qualifying Challenge Mode clears awarded the A Broken Throne emblem. Update 7.2.0.6 granted it to eligible players affected by launch completion issues; acquiring it completed the affected All For One and Superior Swordplay records.
