SUROS

SUROS is a weapon foundry based in the Last City, known for red-and-white weapons with curved surfaces, stat-customization options and good handling. Its design philosophy is summed up as "elegance amidst brutality." It makes auto rifles, pulse rifles, scout rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, sidearms, hand cannons, sniper rifles, submachine guns, machine guns and grenade launchers. Its best-known weapon is the SUROS Regime, seen in both Destiny and Destiny 2.

History

SUROS weapons first appeared in the original Destiny (2014) with weapons such as the SUROS ARI-45 and The Vertigo. Its weapons were expanded through the Red War, Season of the Forge and Reclamation releases, which added sidearms, hand cannons, sniper rifles and submachine guns, machine guns and grenade launchers. With The Taken King, three SUROS weapons (BNS-13, PRR-11 and WSC-17) were offered in the Suros Arsenal Pack.

In Destiny 2, SUROS weapons carry musical names followed by a two-digit number, such as Medley-45 and Cantata-57.

Origin trait

Since The Witch Queen, SUROS weapons carry a foundry origin trait, Suros Synergy. Reloading a SUROS weapon grants a short-term bonus to handling and reduces incoming flinch. Origin traits only apply to weapons obtained during or after The Witch Queen, so older SUROS weapons do not have one.

Foundry sponsorship

During some seasonal events, SUROS is given a Foundry Sponsorship bonus. In Edge of Fate week 2 (July 2025), SUROS weapons dealt overcharged damage in Portal activities for the rest of the week.

Notable weapons

The SUROS catalogue includes auto rifles such as Galliard-42, Coronach-22 and Solemn Hymn; pulse rifles such as Syncopation-53 and Requiem-45; scout rifles such as Glissando-47 and Tango-45; and hand cannons such as Cantata-57 and Minuet-42. Other named weapons include Last Perdition, Sorrow's Verse, Exalted Truth and Hawksaw.
