History of Sylok, the Defiled

Overview

Sylok, the Defiled is an Ultra-rank Taken Knight of the Blood of Oryx. He was captured and imprisoned in the Prison of Elders, where technicians who tried to study his mind were forced by his powers to torture him. He survived his encounter with the Guardians and later joined the Dread, which conscripted him into its ranks.

Return in Destiny 2

Sylok returns in Episode: Revenant at the Tomb of Elders, where Guardians pursue Fikrul, the Fanatic. He is protected by an Immunity Shield. Breaking it requires depositing six Resonances into a rift, and the process is repeated to defeat him. He is supported by Taken and Dread reinforcements.
