History of Te'Qal

Overview

Te'Qal was the last Warden of the Seht Armada, the main military fleet of the Qugu. Destinypedia says Te'Qal won renown against the Murin and rebels, was promoted to Warden after a raid on Se'Ugn, and had a nectar-induced vision of an impending end of their people that drove them to defend it.

When the Hive invaded the Qugu home system, Te'Qal organised the evacuation of ark-ships carrying their people's soil. In the final stand in the Ascendant Realm the Qugu discovered their holy Mountain was a buried Pyramid of the Black Fleet; Te'Qal helped release a resonant blast that destroyed it, at the cost of their life. The Hive were led by Savathûn.

Legacy

The Witness preserved Te'Qal's consciousness; after its destruction those memories became the Echo of Command, later used by Maya Sundaresh (the "Conductor") to found the Nessian Schism among the Vex. Te'Qal's memories are the subject of the Dynasty lore book, released in parts through Episode: Echoes.

Te'Qal is long dead and appears only through the Echo and lore.
