History of The Drifter

Overview

The Drifter is the lore-book completion Triumph associated with A Drifter's Gambit, introduced in Forsaken. It was one of the book requirements for the legacy Chronicler seal. The book follows Shin Malphur's observations of Drifter and the risks of Gambit.

Original completion method

Collect and claim the book's entries through Gambit progression: matches, bounties, associated Triumphs and the Malfeasance quest provide entries. Work through those different sources to fill the collection; repeatedly finishing matches alone does not cover every original unlock. Complete the lore book to satisfy this record. Its name refers to the collection requirement, rather than a separate quest obtained by speaking to Drifter.

Current reading availability

With Beyond Light on 10 November 2020, lore books through Season of Arrivals became freely readable by all players in the lore menu. The acquisition steps above describe the original earned-page route. The historical earned-page total remains recorded separately from access to read the book.
