History of The Pain of What's Right

Overview

The Pain of What's Right is an entry in For Every Rose, a Thorn, the Season of the Drifter lore book associated with Thorn. Shin Malphur discusses the opposing legacies of Thorn and The Last Word, and the identities he has used while pursuing the Shadows of Yor.

How to unlock

Originally, acquire Thorn and defeat targets with it to receive the book's chapters. Use the weapon for final blows against groups of ordinary combatants while progressing the collection; the chapter was a weapon-linked lore reward rather than an independent mission.

The entry is preserved in the archived lore collection. Its historical unlock method belongs to the original lore-progression system, while acquiring Thorn through the Monument to Lost Lights is a separate weapon purchase.
