History of The Seething Heart

The Seething Heart is the opening item of the Darkness in the Light quest chain for Malfeasance. The quest start has changed since launch, so the launch-era trigger no longer applies.

Walkthrough

1. Original route (2018, Season 4): play Gambit until the Ascendant Primeval Servitor appears, defeat it, and take the Seething Heart to The Drifter in the Tower. This random Servitor spawn was the original quest trigger.
2. Later route (as of July 2024): defeating a Taken Primeval in Gambit starts the quest, replacing the rare Servitor requirement.

Rewards

• Starts the Darkness in the Light quest chain; the chain ultimately awards Malfeasance.
