History of Thunderhead Plate

Overview

Thunderhead Plate is a Legendary chest armor piece for the Titan class, part of the Thunderhead armor set found on Neomuna. Per community set data, the set grants a 2-piece bonus (activating your grenade or the Nanotech Tracer Missiles Origin Trait gives stacking point-blank damage resistance) and a 4-piece bonus (defeating an unraveled combatant grants grenade energy, or Special ammo meter progress if grenade energy is full). Only four of the five pieces are needed for the full bonus, leaving one slot free for an Exotic.

Acquisition

Thunderhead armor drops from activities on Neomuna, including its Lost Sectors. Bungie lists this piece's source as "Exploring Neomuna". Sources I could open did not give exact drop rates or vendor details, and set bonuses reflect the current armor system, so older versions of the set may differ.

Set

See the Thunderhead armor set: Mask (helmet), Grips (arms), Vest (chest), Strides (legs) and Cloak (class item) for Hunter; matching Titan and Warlock pieces exist, e.g. Thunderhead Plate (Titan) and Thunderhead Robes (Warlock).
