History of Torch Hammer

The Torch Hammer is a Vex Minotaur weapon recovered during Episode: Echoes. Once the hidden specimen quest "Specimen ID: NES006" is finished it becomes the Assimilated Torch Hammer, an upgrade for the player's Echoes Battlegrounds tools.

Acquisition

1. Talk to Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. and pick up the Proximity Sensor Alert from the Research Bays menu.
2. Run an Echoes Battleground (Delve, Conduit or Core) and follow the sensor to the specimen, a Torch Hammer. (Techbriefly notes the Core is the easiest place to find it.)
3. Complete the specimen objectives: Final Blows with sidearms or auto rifles, Final Blows with Arc or Solar, and generating Orbs of Power.
4. Return to Failsafe and place the Assimilated Torch Hammer in the display tank.

Rewards

Techbriefly lists two Failsafe upgrades, Data Format Cipher and Combat Protocol Override. Destructoid names the Combat Protocol Override Research Instrument as the quest reward. With it, Vex gates in each Battleground summon an Assimilated Demolisher mini-boss, which is what the Assimilated Targets triumph asks you to defeat; an Assimilated Beacon from these can start a world boss fight at Watcher's Grave on Nessus.
