History of Trade-Off Challenge Modifiers

Overview

Trade-Off Challenge Modifiers is an activity-modifier objective in Guardian Ranks. Complete an Ops activity with a Trade-Off Modifier active; selecting the modifier without finishing the activity does not complete the objective.

How to complete

1. Open an Ops activity's customization menu and select Challenge Modifiers.
2. Choose an available Trade-Off Modifier, then launch and complete the activity with it active.
3. For the Master-level route, select Low Gravity on Master difficulty or higher. Its weaker gravity prolongs jumps, so stay near cover and avoid jumping into exposed positions.

The 2025 Guardian Rank Six version specified Master difficulty or higher. The current objective text requires an activity with a trade-off modifier and does not state a difficulty requirement. Completing the Master route satisfies both versions. Completion advances the associated Guardian Ranks objective; it has no separate item reward.
